A short story made for my religion final,
"Jesus, An Upstander, And Me"
This is the last time this year I can appeal to boost my grade, So I hope this will set off a big bang to finish off my year <3
>>>>STORY DETAILS/ ANALYSIS ----
This whole story is a reenactment of the Holocaust, and you can see some symbols / events in the story to support it.
The red color around the men beating the 'animals' up indicate their unawareness of what they are doing.
The picture of Jesus and the warm colors represent emotion in the Reign of God,
and
the last part- where the 'animals' turn back into human.... This shows that it is US who make the Jews look like animals, we degrade those humans to believe that they are animals, beasts, and we use this illusion to hurt them... And it goes to the point we cannot realize what we're doing.
The animals are faceless because when you take away someone's face, again, degrading them from being human, hence which feeds the very motivation of the Holocaust.
On the brighter note, the animals' transformations also mean that WE can control what other people ARE to us, and when you realize everyone is the same, and race/color is no longer a fundamental in life.... Then you can see that they are not animals, and that we all live under the same sky, and we need to share that.
> I support a world united with everyone; and race is nonexistent.

Awww.. This project was very flexible, and anyone could do anything they want as long as it reflects what they've learned in the whole school year. Some people did videos or play scripts; just something they're good at. Man, then you should totally come over here >8(
That's awesome
Actully, this was intresting to read, even if i'm not so obsessed with the religion
Being of Jewish decent and having a grandmother who barely made it out of Germany while her mother ended up in the camp, I feel like this is personal. Very beautiful story and symbolism. I love it very much and the colors are so wonderful! I love how it's "Colorless" but it's symbolic as everyone is a different 'color' yet when it comes to believing in God and Jesus, it does not matter on race.
Really great
And bless you for putting up with such a dark past- It must have been very painful to your grandmother...
But yes! I wish everyone could not care about race, seriously! It's not too hard to exclude race from your life too- but encouraging people to do so is the hard part. <x1......
